Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Favourite Heroines From Books

Top10TuesdayThis week’s Top Ten Tuesday is about our favourite heroines, so let’s begin. And these are in no particular order!

  1. Elspeth Gordie from The Obernewtyn Chroniclesshe is really great.
  2. Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games, I’m sure she’ll be on a lot of lists.
  3. Annabeth Chase from Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan series- even if she isn’t the main character she’s still awesome
  4. Viola Eade from Chaos Walking, she was amazing (and reviews will be coming soon for this incredible series)
  5. Daerneys from A Song of Fire and Ice, how could she not be on this list!
  6. Arya from A Song of Fire and Ice, and Arya is perhaps my favourite character from the series, I just adore her
  7. Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, an intelligent character is always nice
  8. Mariam from A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khalid Hussain, I remember her being a very powerful character despite her situation
  9. Georgia Mason from Newsflesh by Mira Grant
  10. Liesel Meminger from The Book Thief

Who are your favourite heroines?

      1. She wasted so much time fantasizing about that Daario guy. Wasted even more time with those useless cities than taking action to go after Westeros… She is cool and charismatic in the show but not so much in the books I’m afraid.

        1. Thanks for your insight. I certainly agree with the fantasising. The useless cities, well, yes and no. Towards the end, certainly she should probably have gotten out, but before that she needed to do it.

  1. I forgot about Arya! She’s awesome.
I’m just reading the first Percy Jackson book now so haven’t seen much of Annabeth yet except her Cinderella hair but I’m intrigued by her already.

    Great list!
