The Little Fur Series is written by Isobelle Carmody, and consists of four novels:
Little Fur: The Legend of Little Fur
A Fox Called Sorrow
A Mystery of Wolves
A Riddle of Green
They are nicely illustrated, and exist in interesting book jackets (felt/fur like). They are more aimed towards children, but I still enjoyed them. I read the first by audio-book and it was read by Isobelle herself, and I loved hearing her do it, because she put on voices, which I kept hearing as I read.
I got this book at the wonderful Red Queen Launch in Melbourne, and then promptly read it on the way home. It is a lovely little story described aptly as a post-apocalyptic fairytale. Dan Reed was the illustrator, and helped push Isobelle to make Evermore into a graphic novel, instead of the novella, which grew too big.
The day has come to start reviewing The Red Queen, the final installment of The Obernewtyn Chronicles. Below you will find my thoughts on each chapter written as I’ve been reading. So far, I have only read up to the end of Part One. So you will find below spoilers for the first part, and a lot of random babbling by me. I warn you – do not comment about anything beyond Part One whatsoever, leave that for later. Please.
